Tip #9 Puppet Art

Puppets, what child doesn’t like puppets? Remember the old “Punch and Judy” show? Okay, so I’m showing my age. Onto today’s tip.

Using paper, fabric scraps, yarn, whatever you have around the house or classroom you can create one of a kind puppets that go along with your story.

You can make stick puppets, hand puppets or if you are real crafty, marionette puppets.

Now the puppets don’t have to be people or animals, they can be houses, trees, cars, whatever you want that’s part of the story.

When done, act out the story with your child or students.

Have fun and I’ll see you back her tomorrow for more fun adventures with taking books beyond reading.
