Children Museums

A great outing with children on a cloudy rainy day is a trip to the museum.

Boring you say? Not in the least. Many cities have children museums. These are packed with all kinds of hands on exhibits and fun for children of all ages.

We used to take our children to OMSI in Portland, OR. or the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. It was a full day adventure. Lots to crawl on, in and under, hands on crafts even a house that shook like an earthquake was happening!

Not sure if there’s a children’s museum near you?

Check out the Association of Children’s Museums website to find out. This lists not only those in the US but around the world. Lots of fun things to do here.

We have one in Puerto Rico and it has a cool home page for children, and the young at heart.

My two-year-old grandson loves the train museum at the park across the street. We have to visit it regularly.

Museums are such a great resource for all of us, especially children.I think it's great that you take him there, it's never too early to get their curiosity going.
